So, today was stormy and rainy--the perfect kind of day to craft! And that's exactly what I did. I decided to embellish a t-shirt with yo-yos. I have a whole bag full of them, just waiting to be used. If you want to make a shirt like mine, the only other supplies you'll need are some thread, a needle, and some buttons. Here's what I did:
I went through my closet and found a t-shirt I never wear. This, my friends, is the neglected shirt. Sad, I know. But there is hope in his future. . .
I then dug through my bag of yo-yos and found the ones I liked. I used varying colors and patterns, 'cuz that's how I roll. I placed them along the neckline of the shirt to get an idea of a pattern I liked, like this:
I then began sewing them on. As I was attaching them, I sewed a button in the middle of each yo-yo. I just randomly selected buttons. I dig randomness--it's easy and it looks cool. Just sayin'.
Drum roll, please! And here's the finished product!
And here's a picture of some random girl wearing the shirt. . .
I should really pay her in chocolate for modeling the shirt for me, don't ya think? I mean, it's only fair!
By the way, if you haven't figured it out yet, "random" is the word of the day. So, go grab yourselves some random yo-yos, a random t-shirt, and randomly go to town! Have fun, peeps!
I'll be linking up this project here:
I love the shirt! And you are just too cute--yes, you do deserve chocolate :-) Thanks for stopping by my blog--I'm following you now!
